Sharjah: New investors can apply for ‘instant license’ without lease agreement, contract

This service is issued within one day, and covers all office activities that do not require approvals from other authorities, with the licence allowing up to three employees

The Sharjah Economic Development Department has launched a new service called the “Instant License”, designed to simplify the process of starting a business and attract more investors to the emirate.

The initiative enables entrepreneurs and investors to obtain a commercial license immediately, without the need to submit a memorandum of association or a lease agreement during the first year.

The license is issued within one working day and covers all office-based business activities that do not require external approvals.

As part of the flexible setup, the license also allows for up to three employees under the initial registration, supporting operational needs during the crucial first year.

 In the second year, business owners are expected to fulfill the standard licensing requirements, including documentation and regulatory approvals.
